Let me just start off my saying that I am incredibly blessed with a dream job. Yes, I am a church lady. A church lady at a church that focuses on loving their neighbor, community outreach, and furthering God's Kingdom. It is amazing.
I got back in beautiful dfw around 4:30. After spending another week at camp, I am completely in awe that I get to do what I do. I get to work in a children's ministry that is like NOTHING else I've ever seen. I get to show them God's love & help them love church. God has given me stupendous volunteers who go above & beyond the call of duty.
It's humbling.
This week at camp, God held a mirror up to me & showed me the nastiness in my life. God graciously reminded me that He brings change & makes all things new. I have some areas to improve upon & it starts now.
I was also reminded the importance of being an armor bearer. Fourteen months ago, my boss had us all read God's Armor Bearer (volumes 1 & 2) by Terry Nance. It was impactful. I highly recommend reading it. I want to be a better armor bearer--I want to support the team God has placed me on in such a way that He is glorified. I want my boss to be freed up to minister more because I am supporting him in all that he does. I want to be a servant leader who furthers God's Kingdom.
It was a great two weeks at camp. I have great expectations for this fall--I can't wait to see how God continues to move.

You make the PERFECT "Church Lady."
The Armor Bearer, hmm, sounds good.
